First Place Gingerbread House. She likes it.

Zinger is a very creative cylinder. She was asked to help consult on a Gingerbread house design. The theme of the gingerbread house is Culture. Here is the gingerbread house that won the 1st place in the contest. She likes it.

X'mas tree cookie. She likes it.

It's almost X'mas. Instead of gingerbread people, Zinger got Z'mas trees this year. Very pretty sweet trees. Zinger has 2 trees. Because Zinger is a nice cylinder so she wants to share her cookies by giving one away. She likes it.

Happy Birthday Zinger. She likes it.

Zinger celebrated her birthday with Henry and a new friend, Ben. Zinger had strawberry short cake for her birthday. She played Wii Ski & Snowboard game on her birthday. Happy Birthday Zinger. She likes it.

No Thanksgiving sweets. She doesn't like it.

Zinger got no Thanksgiving sweets. She waited all day and got nothing. Very disappointed. She doesn't like it.

Wow, so big!!!! She likes it.

Zinger loves good sweet donuts. She is always looking for good and unique donuts. And guess what she got. WOW!!!! This has to be the biggest donut Zinger has ever seen. It is 10" big. It is a raised donut with chocolate frosting with green and red x'mas tree sprinkles. Zinger couldn't believe her eyes. She was so happy that she opened her mouth. And the donut tastes just as good as it is big. She likes it. She really likes it.

Pre-B-Day Sweet #3. She likes it.

After having tried the ginger molasses cookie that Zinger didn't like, she wanted her next pre-B-Day Sweet to be good. Also to help cleanse her palate of the bitter molasses left in her mouth. Her pre-B-Day Sweet arrived and it.... DONUTS!!!!! These are mystery donuts (not in the bad way) because she doesn't know which shop they came from. They were 2 raised donuts: 1 glazed and 1 chocolate. She ate both and they were good. She thinks they are from Chuck's Donuts in the Peninsula. More please. She likes it.

Pre-B-Day Sweet #2. She doesn't likes it.

Zinger got her pre-B-Day sweet #2: Ginger Molasses Cookie from the new Specialty Cafe & Bakery in Milpitas. It looks good. Thick cookie that looks soft and chewy. Zinger has never had ginger molasses cookie before so she happily took a bite. Hmm, it's a bit bitter for Zinger. It's sweet, but the molasses flavor is a bit too strong and bitter for Zinger. She doesn't like it. She is waiting for another pre-B-Day sweet. Zinger doesn't like it.

Mario Kart. She likes it.

Zinger is very good riding and maneuvering her pillow. She is a natural when it comes to Mario Kart game. She really likes the game a lot. So much fun. She likes it.

Birthday wish: Ride. She likes it.

What does Zinger want for her Birthday? Ride!!!! Tony Hawk: Ride for Wii. The game comes with a skateboard controller. It's long and fits her cylinder perfectly. She knows she will be good at it. She likes it.

Pre-B-Day Sweet #1. She likes it.

Zinger asked for pre-birthday sweet and so she got her pre-birthday sweet: Spiced Nog Cake. It's a soft cake with egg nog and spices. Good flavor. She loves the icing on the top. So sweet. She likes it.

Waiting for Birthday sweets. She doesn't like it.

Zinger's birthday is coming. She is waiting for lots of sweets to celebrate her birthday. She thinks there should be pre-birthday sweets. Waiting....... She doesn't like it.

Excellent Pecan pie. She likes it.

One of Zinger's favorite pies is pecan pie. Pecan pie is a perfect sweet for Zinger because it has very very sweet fillings and flaky crust. Perfect combination. And Whole Foods pecan pie is so good. The crust is so flaky and the fillings are very sweet and buttery. The pecans are very good. The pie was very fresh and very good that Zinger finished the whole mini pie in 1 minute. Zinger likes it.

Tasty Donuts. Very tasty. She likes it.

If a donut shop is named Tasty Donuts, then the donuts have to be tasty. That's what Zinger thinks. So how do these donuts taste? Tasty!!! The glazed is shaped nicely and soft. Glaze is good. The cinnamon roll dough is soft and cake like. And surprise!!! There are some raisins in it. Just like the name says, Tasty Donuts have very tasty donuts. Zinger likes it.

5 dozen donut holes in 1 minute. She likes it.

Monkichi can eat ten bananas in one minute. How many donut holes can Zinger eat in one minute? Zinger can eat 60 donut holes in one minute. That's one donut hole per second. If you want to challenge Zinger to the donut hole speed eating contest, come on over and she is ready for you. 5 dozen donut holes per minute. She likes it.

Happy Tree, Happy Monkeys. She likes it.

There was a storm this week. It was a pretty big one with strong wind and heavy rain. All the monkeys were worried that the new banana tree would not survive the storm. During the heavy storm, Daikichi hugged the tree to make sure the tree doesn't get blown away. And with all the monkeys' love, the banana tree survived the storm. As seen in the picture, the tree is growing and a new leaf is emerging. All the monkeys are very happy. Zinger likes it.

Wii Fit Plus. She likes it.

Zinger has been playing Wii Fit Plus. She enjoys the games very much and they also help keep her cylinder fit. One of her favorite games is the Rhythm Kung Fu. And of course, she likes the Super Hula. It's very aerobic and she holds the record for most spins. It's a good exercise for her cylinder. She likes it.

Zinger had a check-up to make sure she is healthy and in top shape. And the results are very good. Her cylinder mass index, cholesterol, cylinder pressure, sugar level are excellent. The doctor was very impressed with Zinger's sugar level: way above 188. The doctor told Zinger that she is a very cute and healthy cylinder. Keep up with the good work ( sweets ), Zinger. She likes it.

Craving for Beignet. She doesn't like it.

Zinger is craving for beignet, but her pillow cannot take her to New Orleans. Does Cafe Du Monde sell beignet from a truck? Guess not. She doesn't like it.

Happy Birthday KB Girl!! She likes it.

Today is KB Girl's birthday. Zinger and KB Girl got together to celebrate her birthday. Of course, it wouldn't be a celebration without some tasty sweets. The girls shared an orange cranberry scone and a morning bun. The scone is very good and the bun is very buttery. After their celebration, KB Girl went home to sleep. Happy Birthday KB Girl !!! She likes it.

Apple bear claw donut. She likes it.

Check out this donut. It is a bear claw donut with apple fillings. This is the the first time Zinger had a bear claw donut. ( Maybe someone can make a flapper donut. ) She likes the sweet apple fillings. Very fresh and very good. She likes it.

Banana tree. She likes it

Monkichi got a banana tree planted in the backyard. Monkichi, Cousins, Daikichi and Shokichi are all excited to have a banana tree in the backyard. They are all looking forward to getting some bananas from the tree next year. The banana tree should grow to 10 feet tall. Cousins will be watering and fertilizing the banana tree. Cousins will use the bananas to make some delicious sweet desserts. Zinger likes it.

Full moon. No moon cake. She doesn't like it.

It's full moon tonight. Nobody brought Zinger any moon cake, nor any sweet. Nothing. She doesn't like it.

It's cold. She doesn't like it.

Autumn is here. It's cold in the morning and evening . Zinger doesn't like it. She needs to eat sweets to help keep her cylinder warm. Please bring some sweets to Zinger. Cold!!!! She doesn't like it.

New Pillow. She likes it.

Zinger is an expert on pillows. She is always looking for good pillows. And look what she got. A new pillow. It is a big pillow that you can lay flat and use as cushion. And you can fold the pillow and it becomes a giraffe. See Monchichai getting very comfy on the new pillow. Zinger likes parking on this new pillow too. It is very soft and very huggable. She likes it.

Bread pocket. She likes it.

Cousins made a bread pocket using the apple pie mold. What's in the pocket? It's a secret. Very cute apple shaped bread pocket. Zinger likes it.

Surprise!! Paris Baguette. She likes it.

Someone must have heard about Zinger's disappointment last weekend not getting any of Cousins heart shaped apple pies. Guess what. Two fresh sweet pastries from Paris Baguette were delivered to Zinger. Wow! Zinger was pleasantly surprised. These are two croissant pastries. One with sweet bean fillings and one is chocolate with chocolate crumb toppings. The pastries are so flaky and she can really taste the butter. The fillings are very good. Zinger couldn't be more happier. She likes it.

Good pineapple cakes. She like it.

Someone gave Zinger two pieces of pineapple cakes from Issac Bakery in Taiwan. The cakes are from Issac in Taipei that won gold medal this year for best pineapple cakes. Zinger ate it and she likes it. But she had better pineapple cakes before. The crust is very thin and not too flaky. The filling is very very good. Zinger heard that Cousins can make pineapple cakes too. She is going to order some from Cousins. Zinger likes Issac pineapple cakes. She likes it.

Heart shaped apple pies. She likes it and she doesn't like it.

Cousins made some pocket apple pies in heart shape. They are so cute. She likes how they look. But how do they taste? Zinger doesn't know because she didn't eat any. Cousins made these pies for a customer and there was none for Zinger. She doesn't like it.

Waiting for Lego Rockband game. She doesn't like it.

A new Lego Rockband will be released in November. Zinger wants the game. She is waiting. She doesn't like it.

More Stan's Donuts. She likes it.

Fresh hot donuts right out of Stan's fryer. Hmm...... so good. And they had glazed raised and cinnamon donuts today. Zinger is one happy cylinder today. She likes it. Now she is all sweetened up for some Wii Sports Resort. She likes it.

Wii Sports Resort. She likes it.

Zinger has been playing Wii Sports Resorts since the game came out. She enjoys all the 12 games. Power crusing, sword play, cycling, ..etc. Zinger likes them all. Monchichai's favorite is the table tennis. Zinger likes the frisbee golf. Zinger's record was playing Sports Resort for 72 hours straight, except when she took breaks for some sweets. Wanna challenge Zinger? She is waiting... She likes it.

Beth's Donuts. She likes it.

Zinger is in love!! With Beth's donuts. Their bar donuts are long and round, like a cylinder. And the dough is good. It's soft inside and a bit crispy outside. The cinnamon swirl donut is very good also. The glaze is good. Zinger really likes this Donut shop. And the good thing is that it's not too far from where Zinger lives. That means she can go often. She likes it.

Pocket apple pie. She likes it.

Cousins made some pocket apple pies today. They were fresh out of oven when Zinger tried them. And Zinger had to have it with ice cream. There is nothing that beats apple pie a-la-mode. Hmm, very good. Zinger likes it.

So hot. She doesn't like it.

It has been very hot the last couple of days. Zinger is not comfortable in such hot weather. She needs more sweets. She doesn't like it.

Stan's Donuts. She likes it.

It has been a long time since Zinger had Stan's donuts. She was very surprised when someone brought her some Stan's cinnamon twist and buttermilk. Zinger doesn't remember that Stan's has cinnamon twist. She tried it and she likes it. But she thinks their regular glazed raised donut is still better. And the buttermilk donut was so good. One of the best buttermilk donuts. Stan's stands up to its name. Still the best donut shop in the area. She likes it.

Dunkin Donut. She likes it.

There is no Dunkin Donut in the area where Zinger lives. Zinger has heard so much about Dunkin that she wants to try it. So when someone she knows went to East Coast, she had asked to bring back their famous chocolate glazed donut. And what does Zinger think? She said very good. She likes it.

Mouse head on deck. She doesn't like it.

There is a dead mouse head on the deck. It's eyes are still open. The eyes look straight up. About a foot away from the head is a small furry body part. Some dog or cat must have killed it. Very scary. Zinger doesn't like it. Zinger doesn't like it. Zinger doesn't like it.

Blue Bottle Coffee. She likes it.

Blue Bottle Coffee has very good coffee. They roast their own beans in small batches everyday. Zinger especially likes their New Orleans Style Iced Coffee with extra shots of sweet. Zinger can drink a whole gallon in one sitting. Their coffee is rich and smooth. She likes it.

Waiting for Oxygen Pillows. She doesnt like it.

Zinger heard about this place European Sleep Works in Berkeley that sells Oxygen Pillow. It supposedly is better for you. Since Zinger parks on the pillow all the time, so she wants to have a good pillow that is good for her cylinder. It should let her cylinder breathe and have firm support, yet still soft. It should be good for Zinger to park in any position. She doesn't want stiff cylinder. The pillow is $130 for large and $60 for small one. Zinger needs one large and one small. She is waiting for her pillows. She doesn't like it.

So many sweets. She likes it!!!

Zinger found out that someone was going to Morgan Hill. So she decided to tag along so she could get some cupcakes from The Cupcake Shop.  Zinger got ready very early in the morning. This was going to be a good day because she will finally get to try some cupcakes. The ride to Morgan Hill was 
good.  Zinger rode sideway in the back seat of the car. She looked out of the window and waved her flappers when she saw other passengers in other cars.  She didn't see other cylinders.  When she got to Morgan Hill, she went to the Cupcake shop. But it was not opened yet.  Zinger was very disappointed.  She didn't want to wait so she thought she would get some donuts.  First one was Donuts & Things. She got a maple donut. Next stop was Lombardo's Donuts on main Street. She got a glazed raised. Next she stopped at Pink Elephant Panaderia. She got an end piece of the raisin cake and a piece of sweet bread.  Panaderia Ortiz was next. She got the pineapple basket, a few more sweet breads.  Last place she visited was O'Henry's Donuts.  She got a cinnamon swirl donut.  That's a lot of sweets!!!! But Zinger never too much. She really enjoyed her trip even though she didn't get any cupcake. Next time, Zinger.   Zinger said all the sweets are good.  She likes it.

Zinger heard about this Cupcake Shop in downtown Morgan Hill. They have  "Monkeys eat Banana" cupcakes. Zinger wants to try it. Somebody please get Zinger some sweet cupcake from The Cupcake Shop. She is waiting. She doesn't like it.

Vegan donut. She likes it.

Zinger has heard about some vegan donut place in Las Vegas called Ronald's Donuts. Supposedly very good donuts. Vegan donuts? Can they be good?  Las Vegas is kind of far for Zinger to go, so she decided to look around locally for vegan donuts.  She found some vegan cake donuts at Whole Foods. The glaze on the donut is pink, so she had to get it.  well, the donut itself is kind of greasy. Flavor is okay. But the glaze is what Zinger liked the best. Sweet pink glaze. Zinger thinks they should glaze the entire donut, cover the whole thing instead of just one side.  Zinger thinks the donut is a 5, but the glaze is an 8. She likes it.   

Starbucks blueberry coffee cake. She likes it.

Recently Starbucks has tweaked their recipes for their pastries by removing trans fats, artificial flavors, dyes, and high-fructose corn syrups.  And the taste........ Zinger had to try it. She had the reduced fat blueberry coffee cake. Normally Zinger doesn't like sweets that say "reduced". But she felt like having blueberry coffee cake. So she broke her rule and decided to give it a try. ( Zinger would not try low-fat sweets )  It's sweet and good. The reduced-fat did not compromise too much on the taste. Zinger likes that Starbucks care about customers' health to offer better sweets. Zinger said she likes the blueberry coffee cake. She would like to try their new banana walnut bread.  She is waiting. 

Philz Coffee. She likes it.

Zinger heard about this coffee shop Philz Coffee. They customize your drink to your taste. Zinger had to go visit this place and see how sweet they can make her coffee.  She rode up her pillow to the counter and this cute girl greeted her. She asked Zinger bunch of questions before she made Zinger's drink. Zinger told her that she likes sweet coffee with zing. It was a hot day so Zinger go it iced. It took a while before Zinger got her drink. Zinger took a sip.  Wow, very sweet, creamy and smooth. She likes it. 

No Job. She doesn't like it.

Zinger's good friend got laid off from Cisco last week. This is horrible.  Bad economy => No job => no VTA rides => Buy less sweets. She doesn't like it. 

More donuts. She likes it.

Being cute certainly has its benefits. Again, because Zinger is so cute, she got another delivery of donuts. This time they are from Rolling Pin Donuts.  Rolling Pin has the best looking donuts. Perfectly shaped.  Zinger likes their chocolate donuts because they use dark chocolate and it's very good. But this time she wants to try their maple donut.  She doesn't get maple donuts that often but she likes to eat it sometimes.  After admiring her perfect donuts, she took a bite ( a big bite ) of the maple donut. Hmm,  good maple. And the donut is soft.  Then she looked at the other glazed donut.  She ate the whole donut in one bite. And finished the rest of the maple donut.  She is one happy cylinder. She likes it.  

Giant donuts. She likes it.

It has been a while since Zinger had Vasy's Donuts. They are known for their giant donuts. Because Zinger is a very cute and sweet cylinder, so someone delivered her two donuts from Vasy's. One of them is cinnamon swirl and one is twist. Zinger always likes cinnamon donut. And she likes the twist shaped donut.   Zinger looked at these donuts for a long time and then gobbled them down. Hmmm...... good donuts. Sweet and satisfying her donut cravings.  She likes it.

Brown bag hat. She likes it.

It's a hot sunny day today but you have no hat/cap. But no worries.  If you have a brown bag and a rubber band, you could make a hat.  Zinger spotted this make-shift cap on the street today.  Pretty innovative idea. She likes it. 

Zinger Cake. She likes it!!!!

Everyone knows that Zinger loves to eat sweets. Cakes, donuts, stickybuns, cupcakes...etc. The sweeter, the better.  So when Trader Joe's decided to make a cake named Zinger. This has to be a cake good and sweet enough to put Zinger's name on it.  It's a bundt-like cake with touch of lemon zing and raspberries and drizzledwith sweet icings.  The label on the package is the same color as Zinger.  And how does this cake taste?  Heavenly delicious.  And there is no preservatives or artificial colors in the cake. It uses no-aluminum baking powder.  All natural ingredients. Real sugar. It's all good for you stuff. When Zinger eats her Zinger cake, she feels like dancing on her flappers.  And everyone who has tried her Zinger cake likes it a lot.  The only inconvenience is that this cake is available in Minneapolis. Zinger will have to travel to Minneapolis to get this cake.  Zinger Cake, flappers up.  She likes it.

Cupcakes!!! She likes it and she doesn't like it.

Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes!!! Zinger loves cupcakes. Cupcake shop in downtown Minneapolis has so many varieties of cupcakes. Zinger wants to try them all.  Tha Mad Cow is chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting. It is super sweet and super good.  The Razz Ma Tazz is chocolate with raspberry fillings with raspberry infused French buttercream. She heard that they are very good.  Zinger had placed an order for one of each kind of cupcakes to be delivered to her ( 72 cupcakes total) . But nobody picked up the order for her. She was very disppointed.  This cupcake shop also sells a sweet brown sugar butter roll for $0.65 each. It is buttery and sweet with crunchy tops. It almost tastes like the Monkey Bread at Whole Foods.  It's a good deal too. She like it. Good cupcakes, she likes it.  No cupcake delivery, she doesn't like it.
