Little Monchichai was supposed to go visit Alaska and take a cruise. But someone left her behind. ( Zinger doesn't like it ) So Zinger took little Monchichai on their own vacation. Everyone knows that Golden Gate Bakery has one of the best egg tart. There is always a line out of door. Anytime. Zinger hasn't had an egg tart in a while. But they were closed yesterday. Golden Gate is on vacation a lot. Zinger said that sweet shops should be open everyday because everybody needs sweets. She doesn't like it.

Zinger had Wahle City pastries last week, they were so good that she wanted to get more. She searched for the bakery but couldn't find it. Surprise!!! Zinger got some more Wahle City sweets. She got a pumpkin muffin with lots of edge. No missing edge. Very good muffin. Lemon bar was good too. And the pecan tart is just as good as last time. Sweet and buttery. The last pastry is a cheese croissant which Zinger didn't eat because she doesn't eat savory food. But she heard that it is very good. It's a dense croissant and there is something special in the cheese. Excellent flavor. Zinger approves. Wahle City pastries are so good that Zinger wants to visit the bakery herself, if only she can find it. She likes it.

Berry croissant, pecan pie, and danish muffin. Wow, what a nice assortment of sweets. They are from a bakery in Berkeley. All the pastries are good. Zinger can taste the butter in them. Got to have real butter for good pastries. Pecan pie is sweet, as a good pecan pie should be. And the danish muffin is flaky. Berry croissant is good. Very well shaped croissant. Zinger likes it.

Trader Joe's has a new bakery item: Old Fashioned Donut O's. Usually Zinger eats fresh raised yeast donuts, but she wanted to try the Trader Joe's version of the donut holes. They are coated with powder sugar. Sugar is good. They are made with buttermilk and whole wheat flour. Healthy stuff. Is it good? Zinger said they are good. She said they are easy to eat. After popping in a few of these O's, Zinger's face is covered with powder sugar. They are not as sweet as the raised donuts but still good stuff. She likes it.

Zinger has been waiting for 85 Cafe buns for over 2 weeks. The wait is over. Look all the buns Zinger got. Zinger is so happy. They are fresh too. Same day delivery. The giant brioche bun is the size of her face. Tasty!!!. One of her favorites is the coffee walnut bun. That was the first bun Zinger ate. But wait, how come one edge of the crust is missing???? Defected bun? Or someone ate one edge?? Well, despite the missing edge, the bun still tastes very very good. Zinger is one happy cylinder. She likes it.

What makes super good cookies? The magic ingredient is sugar. When you have lots of sugar in the cookies. They taste very very good like these ones that Zinger ate. They are from the Runway Cafe in Truckee. The peanut butter is very sweet and chewy. Perfect taste and texture. Oatmeal raisins are very good also. Next time if you are in the Truckee area, be sure to stop by this little cafe and pick up some of these sweet cookies for Zinger. Hmm..... so good.... She likes it.

Zinger got the news that Karavan was going to be at Lockheed Martin's parking lot in San Jose. It was a very nice and warm day. A good day for Zinger to ride her pillow there. She was stopped at the gate to the parking lot. The security agent asked Zinger, "May I help you?" Zinger told her she came for Kara's cupcakes. Then security pointed to the Karavan and asked to see Zinger's photo ID. Zinger showed it to her and she went in. This was the first time Zinger visited a cupcake van. The Karavan lady was very nice. Zinger got her cupcakes and headed back to enjoy them. The carrot cupcake was moist and yummy. The chocolate with coconut cream cheese frosting was very good. The cream cheese was so good. Zinger likes that red heart decoration on the frosting. Kara's cupcakes seem a little smaller than Sprinkles?? Zinger wants to do a side by side taste test with Sprinkles and Kara's. Zinger likes it.

Fried rice with lap cheuong sausage and topped with a slice of egg omelet. Very good and especially for one buck!!!. Can't beat that. The shoyu tuna roll is always good. And the new item is Kimchee tako poke sushi roll. A little spicy and good. Zinger doesn't eat these snacks ( because she only eats sweets ) but she heard they are good. She approves them herself. The weather was very cold during Thanksgiving week. At night, it was in the 30's. Luckily Zinger got a Northface Cat's Meow mummy sleeping bag. It's rated 20 degree. Zinger really needed it. She and Monchichai kept themselves warm in the sleeping bag. She likes it.

PukaDog is a hotdog stand in the Poipu Shopping Village. This place sells only hotdogs and comes with some very good relishes that you don't see elsewhere, like mango relish, coconut relish, pineapple relish, and even banana relish. The bun is not sliced but is is pierced by a hot hotdog sized metal rod. The bun is toasted for a couple of minutes wrapped around the hot rod. Choice of secret sauce, relish and mustard ( they even have Lilikoi mustard ) are pumped into the hole in the bun and then the hot dog is inserted, topped with more secret sauce. Although Zinger doesn't eat hotdogs, but she approves. She likes it.

Zinger's house got broken in. The burglar threw a rock at the sliding door glass and completely shattered it. The burglar then tried to open the sliding door and that set off the alarm. Zinger was very scared. Huggabear was awoken from her hibernation. All the smithies hid under the bed. Police officers came and did a walk-thru of the house. Looks like nothing was stolen and no monkey, cylinder and creatures were kidnapped. Cousins' $60 cash and two piggy banks are safe. Burglars are scary. Zinger is scared and she needs to eat lots of sweets to calm her nerve. Zinger doesn't like it.

Zinger celebrated her pre-birthday dinner @Charlie Ayers' restaurant Calafia. Sea scallops wrapped in bacon was excellent. Holy Zinger!!! These are the biggest scallops. They were at least 2" in diameter and 2" thick. BBQ pulled pork bowl was very tasty also. A little bit spicy and excellent flavor. Comes with yam cubes and spinach and topped with a sunnyside up quail egg. Zinger didn't try them because she is a Sweetarian ( A vegetarian who only eats sweets ). But she approved of the dishes. For Zinger, she got an apple galette with vanilla bean ice cream. Warm apple fillings with flakey crust. And rich and creamy vanilla ice cream. Yummy!! There were no ding-dongs in the bakery case. Maybe next time. Calafia has a smoothie named Zazzle Zinger. Charlie must have named it after Zinger. She saw Charlie Ayers busy in the open kitchen so Zinger didn't want to bother him. Zinger was a very happy cylinder and enjoyed her sweet dessert. She likes it.

Coffee cakes, anyone? Sure!! Zinger loves coffee cakes. She had Whole Foods blueberry and raspberry coffee cakes. Both are very good, especially the crunchy sweet toppings. Absolutely delicious. Zinger likes the corner pieces the best because they have more crust. She likes it.

Someone got a ticket for parking @handicap parking space. And this was when the person was not far from the parking space and can see the car. As the parking enforcement officer was about to give a ticket, the driver came and explain that it was only temporary and will remove the car. But the parking enforcement officer insisted on giving the ticket. The price tag is......$275. Fremont City is a cash hungry place. Officer Rosette, parking officer are all bad sour people. No sweets for them. Zinger cannot park her pillow in a handicap parking space. Zinger cannot tint her pillow. She doesn't like it.

Cousins made some reduced sugar pumpkin corn muffins. Zinger was going to try some but when she found out they are reduced sugar version, she didn't want to eat them. Cousins said they are the healthy muffins. Healthy muffins and reduced sugar? Healthy and reduced sugar don't go together. What healthy muffins should have less sugar? Less sugar means no good. She doesn't like it.

Monchichai brought her can to dealer to repair the flat tire and for the valve spring recall. She got a courtesy car. Guess what, the courtesy car got a flat tire also!!!! The dealer sent a technician out to put the full size spare time on the car. Great service which Zinger likes. But 2 flat tires in 3 days, she doesn't like it.

Last month, Zinger had eaten Stan's donuts but they didn't taste like Stan's. She wanted to confirm whether Stan's has changed their recipe. So she needed to try their donuts before she decided whether Stan's should still be in her Donuts Hall of Fame. Zinger has been sharing her bed with her bear friend and Monchichai. The bear occupies most of the bed, so that leaves only one area for Zinger to park. In the middle of the night. Zinger got launched and landed on the floor on her side with no clothes on. All her clothes fell on Cousins. She wants to find a different location to park tonight. She doesn't like it.

Cousins got some special delivery of very fresh black cod. The fish were nice thick fillets with no skin nor bones. Cousins liked it that they didn't have to clean the fish themselves. The fish fillets were big that they scared Cousins initially when they saw the package. The fish had no fishy smell so Cousins like it. The fish was so fresh and tasted very good. As everyone knows that Zinger doesn't eat fish. She doesn't know how good the fish was but the comments she heard from those who consumed the fish were all very positive. Pan fry it with some ginger and soy sauce made an excellent dish. Zinger likes it.

Last week, someone gave Zinger a glazed raised donut and a cinnamon roll from Stan's Donuts without telling her where the donuts were from. Zinger ate the donuts and they were good but she didn't think they tasted like Stan's Donuts. Then she found out that those were Stan's Donuts. But those donut's didn't look nor taste like Stan's. They were not as dense and the texture was not the same as before. Has Stan's donuts changed their recipe? She needs to try their donut again to confirm this. She doesn't like it.
